Reproduction and preservation of fertility of the soil; development and deployment of the integrated system of protection of plants against harmful organisms; application of modern progressive technologies of cultivation of crops, taking into account achievements of domestic and foreign science; carrying out phytosanitary monitoring of agricultural crops and grounds in the territory of economy for determination of the area, extent of its settling by wreckers, diseases and weeds of plants, definition of concrete methods of fight against them.

At the end of the educational program, graduates can:

1) to show the developing knowledge and the understanding in modern technologies of plant growing based on the advanced knowledge of agriculture during the developing and (or) application of ideasin the context of scientific research;

2) to apply at the professional level the knowledge, understanding and abilities of agronomics to the solution of problems in agriculture, in wider interdisciplinary context;

3) to carry out collecting and interpretation of modern information of the latest technologies of plant growing for formation of judgments taking into account social, ethical and scientific reasons;

4) accurately and unambiguously to give modern information, ideas, conclusions, problems and decisions in plant growing, both to experts, and nonspecialists;

5) to own modern scientific methods of research in the agronomics necessary for independent continuation of further training in the studied area.
