The explanatory work for organization and conducting of the Civil Defense in A.Baitursynov KSU was held by the vice-rector for scientific work and external affairs Zh.Zharlygassov together with the military and mobilization department (MMD) at the conference hall of the main building. The head of MMD K.Baimagambetova provided information on performed work (from September 2016 until today). Rector’s order on Civil Defense was presented to the workers of University, who became members of the subject’s units and evacuation commission. Also they received job descriptions, obligations, objectives of posts and branches, which are established by MMD.

On March 11, 2017, “Sport games” took place at the sports halls of KSU buildings № 2, 3. 4 teams from all faculties and 1 team of University’s academic teaching staff took active part. The competition was judged by the strict, but impartial jury. They were head lecturers of Physical and Sport Training Department P.V.Krupenkin, O.V.Kononenko, B.S.Temirkhanov, R.I.Shagabutdinov, K.Baigeldinov. The opening of the sports games in honour of Nauryz - meiramy began with the congratulation of the dean of Veterinary and Livestock Technology Faculty A.Zh.Issabayev. After the congratulation and command, the competition was being started. The participants showed own agility, precision, strength, quickness, intelligence and organized nature. At the end of the event, the jury summed up the results of the competition and awarded the winners by the diplomas and stimulating prizes.

The main task, which was identified in the Strategy “Kazakhstan 2050”, is a task of industrial and innovative development of the country. This task is even more important because it is not only way to maintain economic independence in modern society, but also   sovereignty. The only possible way of solution of this task is an integration of education, science and industry. On 7 March as part of the strategy, the round table with lecturers of institutions and organizations, which worked together with biology and chemistry department as bases for practice and as branches, was held at biology and chemistry department of ABF of KSU. Among the guests were specialists of natural resources and environmental management’s department of Kostanay region’s akimat, specialists of land register and technical survey of real estate’s department, workers of “KostanayZelenstroi” LLP and designer of “Landshaftny dizain” SP. The topic of discussion “Expanding of learning environment as a condition of development of professional competences of students” was expressed by a big interest of participants because it was devoted to current issues: how to increase the competitiveness of our graduates? How to ensure that our graduates would be in demand on the labour market? The participants consisted of two sides: lecturers and students of University from one side and from the other side, the representatives of organizations for whom our students are learning. Both sides already have an experience of collaboration. The practice-oriented courses were organized and also the students of “Biology” specialty have production practice on the basis of the organization, which are implementing practice of forest husbandry and landscape construction. On the round table, leading specialists of production enterprises shared own thoughts on questions: how to improve the programmes, ESC, structure, content of the professional education of the specialty for training of the competent specialists? Which new tasks faced by the enterprises, organizations at the current stage of industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan? Which new technologies the future specialists should study? The meeting had proved fruitful. The specialists of forestry enterprise “Prigorodniy” made interesting recommendations. They also proposed interesting courses as “Entrepreneurial study”, “Forest estimation”. The representative of branch of “State corporation government for citizens” noncommercial JSC demonstrated positive approach by the invitation of graduate students of the year as specialists of field expeditions on the development of the land register. The representatives of “Landshaftny dizain” SP expressed the interest in the scientific-research cooperation. During the meeting, the agreement on contract signing for passing the professional practice was concluded on the basis of land register and technical survey of real estate’s department.

The event in the honour of International Women’s Day on 8 March “With love to women”, which was held in 3 languages (Kazakh, Russian, English), took place at the psychology and pedagogics department of Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty of KSU. On the eve of the spring holiday, students expressed deep commitment, respect and gratitude to lecturers through songs, poems, congratulation on videos, dances and even through the humour. One of the first, who congratulated women, was the writer, playwright and professor of A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University Akylbek Kozhauly Shayakhmetov. The poet sincerely congratulated female staff and read own poems about woman and mother.

The seminar-contest “Role of modern consumer” took place at economics faculty of KSU. Students of economics and engineering technical faculties were as the players of teams. Students of agriculture and biology, engineering technical, economics, veterinary and livestock technology faculties were as spectators. The moderator Vera Arnoldovna Shmidt told participants about the rules of contest and distributed tasks to students. The participants actively with the big interest completed the tasks and answered numerous questions on the seminar. At the end of the seminar-contest, all winners were awarded by the certificates and memorable prizes.

The university-wide round table “Volunteering and charity: kind impulse or necessity?” took place at the reading room of humanities and social sciences faculty of KSU under the guidance of the head teacher of psychology and pedagogy department O.V.Yelchishcheva. The experts-professors participated in the round table. They were doctor of veterinary sciences V.I. Gershun, candidate of psychological sciences L.V.Sarkisyan, invited guests: vice principal of Adaptation Centre of Minors of Kostanay S.G.Naurzbekova, psychologist of Adaptation Centre for women and children of Kostanay O.A.Vlassova, psychologist of gymnasium school named after M.Gorkiy D.S.Turkestanova, representative of high student’s council of KSU A.Manatov and 4 year student of psychology specialty. Students and specialists shared their extensive experience of participation in such events, projects and campaign, inspiring and motivating all participants to join them. Also representatives of University faculties took active part. Both lecturers and students actively take interest and engage in volunteering and charity. Students told about their volunteerism and charity work, described the impressions, together made the decisions, told about acquired skill and abilities, proposed the ideas for new collaborative projects. The round table was held in interactive regime and friendly atmosphere. At the end of the round table, participants created the extemporaneous board of gratitude, where everyone can write kind words to own significant person.
