Credit education technology

In Kostanai State University named after A.Baitursynov all students are trained on credit technology of education.

Credit education technology - is an educational technology aimed at increasing the level of self-development and creative knowledge on the basis of individualization eligibility of educational trajectory and accounting knowledge in the form of credits. Credit education technology is cumulative, which means growing accounting dialed credits from the first to the last course.

Credit is a universal unit of measure volume of academic work of a student or  a teacher. One credit is equal to one academic hour of classroom work of the student per week during the academic period.

Academic period is the period of theoretical training, which is a semester of 15 weeks.

Theoretical duration period for all courses except the exhaust is 30 weeks. The academic year consists of academic periods, interim certification period (final control), practices and holidays. Interim certification period is called an examination session. Distinguish between winter and summer exam session, while the summer session is a remove, the results of which is published on the transfer order of the rector from course to course. Vacations are provided to students after each academic period.

For each academic year for all specialties are formed academic calendars.

Academic calendar is a schedule of training and supervision activities during the school year, indicating days off (vacation and holiday).

Duration of lectures, practical (seminary) classes is 50 minutes, laboratory exercises and practical training in the discipline "Physical Culture" - 100 minutes (2 lessons of 50 minutes).

List of courses that a student learns in a certain logical sequence, is called an educational trajectory.

All disciplines are subdivided into obligatory and elective.

Obligatory component – are disciplines studied by students in compulsory study program established by state standards of education specialty.

Component of choice (elective subjects) - a list of academic disciplines and corresponding minimum volume or academic credit hours offered by universities, selected independently and studied by students in any academic term.

Choosing disciplines first-year students performed before the school year, and graduate students in the middle of the second semester.

After selecting subjects is offered an individual training plan (ITP) of the student.

Individual training plan - a document compiled annually by student himself for the academic year on the basis of the working curriculum contains a list of academic disciplines for which he signed and the number of credits or semester hours; individual curriculum reflects the educational trajectory of a particular student.

Each group is assigned by adviser - a teacher, acting as the academic mentor to the learner in the relevant specialty, providing assistance in selecting training trajectory (formation of individual educational plan) and the development of educational programs in the training period.

You can always contact your adviser on any interesting subject and get a qualified answer.

Adviser spends with his students individual and group consultations. Timetable of consultations of advisors you can find on the information stand of a faculty.

The student has the right to renounce his advisor, presenting the head of the issuing department (which is responsible for your specialty) or the Dean of the Faculty motivated statement of refusal.

All subjects provided with educational and methodical complex of discipline (EMCD), which you can find in electronic form on the information and educational portal (www.ksu.ku) in section electronic library. More detailed information about finding UMKD you will get from leading instructor. In the first lesson the teacher should give you a syllabus.

If you have not received syllabus, ask it from the headman of the group or leading teacher.

EMCD for students includes the following documents: a training program for the discipline (Syllabus); lecture complex, practical plans (seminar) classes; methodical instructions on the study subjects, laboratory works, course work (projects); materials for independent work of students at monitoring and evaluation of students' educational achievements.
