From 4 to 6 March, 2013 the opening meeting on implementation of project TEMPUS "STUDIK" - "Student Self-Governance and Democratic Involvement in Kazakhstan" passed in Technical University of Dresden. The head of department of foreign languages and the candidate of pedagogical sciences Levshina Svetlana Mikhaylovna took part in meeting, as the representative of our university.

Participants of meeting were acquainted with implementation process of student's self-government in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and the European Union countries, also carried out the comparative analysis of a real situation and defined the general project strategy.

On February 10, 2014 project conference was held in KSU, uniting the students of Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute, Chelyabinsk State University, Ministry of Internal Affairs Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and M. Dulatov Kostanay Engineering and Economics University. During the conference the representatives of student self-governance of other universities presented the reports of organizing time for leisure activities in their "Alma Mater". The conference was organized by Kim Natalya Pavlovna and Sarbasova Asel Yesetovna.

The control monitoring of STUDIK project was held at Abylai Khan Kazakh university of international relationships and world languages in Almaty on the 3rd of November. Monitoring visit was held by «Erasmus+» National office in Kazakhstan and European Commission Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency EACEA as part of events for all Tempus projects. While discussing reports on the types of work which were done, participants touched the problems regarding effectiveness of the project, the exchange of experience between the partners, the outcome of the measures and the potential for sustainable development.

The results of 516802 -TEMPUS -1-2011-1KZ-TEMPUS-SMGR STUDIK "Student self-governance and democratic involvement in Kazakhstan" project implementation

• the development and strengthening of the student self-governance at the University. The project has expanded the knowledge of the state of contemporary student self-governance in Kazakhstan and countries of the European Union
• creation of legal and institutional rights of the student self-governance in HEI
• the provision of equipped auditorium for student government office, students' administrator was appointed
• student self-governance website was worked out
• the increase of student self-governance members activity at the individual level and students as a whole, intensified activities of the Center of Youth Initiatives and other youth organizations of the university to participate in academic mobility
• amendments in the Code of Honor of KSU students, in some provisions student self-governance role is clearly stated
• elections of student deans were held, student councils have been established on each faculty, students joined the Academic Council and the Student Ethnic Assembly.
