Admission Terms and Conditions
- Master degree programme is carried out only on the basis of full-time studies.
- Training is conducted in the Kazakh and Russian languages. To realize a multilingual education programme, training of the specialty 6M091100-Geo-ecology and environmental management is carried out in three languages: some disciplines are conducted in the Kazakh language, some - in Russian and some - in English.
- Students, who have higher education, only may be admitted to the Magistracy.
- Admission is carried out on a budgetary basis through participation in the competition for the state education grants, as well as on a contractual basis by the tuition at the expense of enterprises, organizations, funds or own capital of citizens.
- Admission of applications from persons claiming to be trained on the state educational order, including targeted training, is carried out in the universities, which train Master students.
- Admission to the Magistracy is realized on a competitive basis, based on the results of entrance examinations.
- Admission of applications is held from July 3 to July 31 of the current year.
- Entrance examinations are held from 10 to 20 August.
- Applicants entering the magistracy pass following entrance examinations:
- one of the foreign languages (English, French, German), which is held by blank testing based on the National Testing Center technology;
- professional examination, which is conducted in oral form, in accordance with the university approved programs.
Each exam is evaluated on a 100-point grading scale.
- Competition for the state educational grants for doctoral training is held by the Admission Committee of the university. Students, the total sum of examination results of whom is at least 150 points, are allowed to take part in the competition for grants.
- In case of identical results a preferential right of admission will be given to persons having the most highly rated result by professional examination. In case of identical results of professional examination a preferential right of admission will be given to persons having the highest score in the national, Russian or foreign languages. Further, the scientific achievements relevant to the chosen specialty are taken into account
- Persons who have successfully passed the entrance examinations, but have not won the state educational grants, may be enrolled in the Magistracy on the contractual (fee-paying) basis.
- Persons, having at least 50 points on a 100-point grading scale on each examination, may be admitted to the Magistracy on a fee-paying basis.
- Admission to the Magistracy is held up to August 28.
- Admission of individuals to the targeted training of master students on the state educational order is carried out on a competitive basis among persons applying for this training.
