In the Science Day scientists from different countries have been moving in together in KSU to discuss key issues of their activities for many years. And this year, on April 12, the international scientific-practical conference «Baitursynov reading - 2013» on the theme «Modern science: problems and key milestones under the Strategy «Kazakhstan -2050» has been organized by the university. There have been many activities, held within the conference; an online seminar with Khakass State University has been held, but in general it was timed to coincide with the 140th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov.

KSU rector Askar Nametov emphasized in his speech the change of research activities of universities. Every year a competition of student business projects with major enterprises of the region is held in KSU. Best of the projects are financed and introduced into production.

- Young people have  more opportunities today than we had in out time. Now the only thing people need is a great reserve of patience and funding from the state and business structures.
