The research work of students at the university is an integral part of the training of qualified specialists as an inextricable component of a single process: educational and scientific-innovative.

The scientific activity of students at the university is carried out in accordance with the plan of the research work of students (SRWS) of the university, developed on the basis of the plans of the SRWS of departments and faculties.

The body providing direct coordination of SRWS is the Council of SRWS of KSU, which includes students of all departments and institutes.

The main goal of the Council of SRWS is to coordinate the scientific work of students, the wide attraction of students of all courses to research activities, the organization and conduct of activities related to SRWS and student research work (ERWS).

Student scientific clubs

Annually, up to 800 students take part in the work of student scientific circles. So, as of 01.01.2019, SRWS is carried out in 51 student scientific clubs, in which 782 students are involved, the contingent coverage increased by 62 people compared to the previous year or by 8.6%.

Republican competition of student scientific works of the MES RK

The University takes part in the annual National competition of students ' research works. Each year, an average of one job is sent to each specialty. In the 2017-2018 academic year, 35 recommended for participation in the second round of the work were sent, four of them were winners.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, 29 student works in 15 specialties were sent to the second stage of the Republican competition of student works. The winners were 3 people.
