The Economic Researches Center (ERC) is created on the basis of the decision of an academic council by the rector order No. 73 of MD from 15.06.2009.

     After a short suspension of the activity in 2010 the Center continued the work since March 1, 2011 under the direction of Candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Koval Andrey Petrovich. Candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Doshchanova Alma Irgibayevna was appointed as the director of the Center, who fulfilled the duties till October 2010.

     A.P.Koval is the expert in work of editorial council of the regional social and political newspaper "Kostanayskiye Novosti", the expert of the weekly newspaper “Nasha Gazeta”, weekly specialized newspaper of agrarian and industrial complex of Kazakhstan "Agro Zharzhy" (Astana), where interviews, articles, expert notes, and TV and Radio Company "Alau-TV" are constantly published. 

     ERC Employees took active part in the realization of the program Tempus "Strategic integration international management of small and medium business" (2007-2010) and in the program "Damu" of the project “Biznes – sovetnik” (Almaty).

     The Economic Researches Center held the seminars for agricultural producers of the Kostanay region and scientists of A. Baitursynov KSU on the writing of the grant demand on the SKG project "Increase of Competitiveness of Agricultural Production", seminars on the entrepreneurship development in the Kostanay region according to the program of Development Fund "Damu".  

     5 projects for the participation in competition on grants of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the investment project "Increase of Competitiveness of Agricultural Production" realized with assistance of the World Bank was prepared by ERC in October, 2009.

     The project "Increase of Competitiveness of Small Commodity Production of Agrarian and Industrial Complex through SelPK" is developed for implantation in production. The main purpose of the project is scientific substantiation and development of practical recommendations about improvement of structural elements of agricultural consumer cooperatives taking into account adaptation to the region conditions, where its function.

     Director of ERC A.P.Koval is included in the working group for realization of the program Tempus "Ecological engineering and a sustainable development with application of renewables and bio waste" (2011-2014).
