Qualification characteristics
- The field of professional specialization are:
- Veterinary-sanitary inspection of food, raw materials of animal or vegetable origin
- Veterinary and sanitary control of production, transport, trade in markets for export and import shipments of products and raw materials of animal origin;
- The protection of the State from the introduction of pathogens common to humans and animals, as well as dangerous zoonotic diseases through imported products and raw materials of animal origin;
- Prevention of infectious and parasitic diseases of animals, birds, fish, bees and the environment from pathogens transmitted through the defective products and raw materials.
The objects of professional specialists are meat processing plants, meat and canneries, laboratory veterinary-sanitary examination of markets, institutions of the State Customs Service, biological factories and other enterprises for the production and control of biologically active substances, transport, border checkpoints, research institutes , educational institutions and the organization of veterinary Profile, military veterinary service.
Objects of professional activity:
- All kinds of farm animals, birds, fish, bees and their products;
- Food crop production;
- Equipment and instruments for the examination of the quality of products, biological products, chemical agents, biological active substances, the macro and the slides;

- Equipment for the scientific work, feed, pasture, water sources.

The structure of the educational program

Cycle Ltd. (general studies) - total 33 credits, mandatory component - 33. Educational Practice - 2 credits.
The purpose of practice - introduction to the basics of agricultural production, safety measures when working with animals; mastering practical skills for the care, maintenance and feeding of animals, methods of preparation of veterinary measures, methods of preparation of chemicals, methods of preparation and work with common laboratory equipment.
Place of practice: the departments of the university, in farms of different forms of ownership.
Practical training - 4 credits.
The purpose of practice - the study of the subject of industrial activity in accordance with the kind of professional activity, to gain experience on the implementation of the main production processes, adaptation of students in enterprises and organizations as qualified professionals. Place of practice: companies and organizations in accordance with the objects of professional activity. Pre-graduation Practice - 2 credits.
Target Practice - Preparation and writing of the thesis (project).
