Characteristics of Master of Veterinary Sanitary
Specialty 6М120200 – Veterinary Sanitary provides the following educational programs:
- Veterinary and sanitary safety of food products;
- Veterinary and sanitary safety of livestock enterprises.
A graduate of profile training is awarded the academic degree "Master of veterinary specialty 6M120200 - Veterinary Sanitation.
The qualifying characteristics of a master in specialty 6M120200 – Veterinary Sanitary
The field of professional specialization is food safety, veterinary and sanitary assessment of the production, transport, trade in markets for export and import shipments of products and raw materials of animal and vegetable origin, animal husbandry, poultry farming, biotechnology, veterinary medicine.
The objects of professional activity of magistracy graduates are: in the profile training; local, rural, regional, provincial, national public animal health structures, private veterinary laboratories for the examination of product quality, the laboratory of veterinary-sanitary examination of markets, meat and milk processing plants, sausage, canning factories (workshops), agricultural, environmental, design, expertise, administrative offices, control and analytical services, the Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, NSC of veterinary and sanitary significance. In the scientific and pedagogical training: teaching activities in higher, secondary specialized and vocational schools and agricultural biology, research and management activities, research and production facilities. Management activities in the units of local, district, regional, national structures, the structures of Defense, Internal Affairs, NSC of veterinary and sanitary significance, of public and private veterinary and sanitary services.
Types of professional activities:
- education activities in the disciplines of veterinary, biological trends in higher and secondary special and vocational schools;
- research in the scientific and production centers, departments, institutes;
- a graduate of profile and pedagogical magistracy can carry out the activities relevant to graduates of the profile magistracy.
Master of specialty 6M120200 - Veterinary Sanitation must be competent in solving practical and problematic problems of modern veterinary science and practice, in the organization of research in the design and presentation of scientific results, search and exchange of scientific information, in the modern system of economics, organization and management of veterinary medicine and agriculture in the psychological and pedagogical principles of teaching in high school on the basis of new technologies.
The structure of the educational program
The structure of the educational program is determined by the standard curriculum, curriculum and catalog of elective courses.
In the research and pedagogical training of Cycle BD (basic disciplines) the total number of credits – 16, the compulsory component - 8, the component of choice - 8. As a result of studying the subjects of cycle BD a learner should know the basics of philosophy, a foreign language, management and psychology, have a basic knowledge necessary for the study of professional disciplines. The cycle of PD (profile subjects) the total number of credits - 18, a compulsory component - 3, the component of choice - 15. As a result of studying subjects of Cycle PD a learner must acquire knowledge and skills necessary to implement all kinds of professional activities in the field of veterinary.
Educational program of the profile magistracy should include the following types of practices: Pedagogical practice - 3 credits. The aim of practice is the formation of teaching skills and studying teaching methods. The bases of practice are Education organizations. Research practice –3 credits. The aim of practice - familiarization with the latest theoretical, methodological and technical achievements of domestic and foreign science and modern methods of scientific research, processing and interpretation of experimental data. Places of practice: research institutes, Biocenter, science laboratories, industrial organizations.
RWof M (the research work of a master) - 7 credits. It includes the master’s research work implementation of a thesis. The defense of master's thesis is held as a result of the research work.
Academic Calendar contains a calendar for the theoretical training, examinations, attestations, professional practices, days off (vacations and holidays).
