Studying the subjects of this educational program will provide the knowledge in improvement the competitiveness of livestock products and raw materials, methods of evaluation of breeding qualities of cattle, breeding in the case of cattle, dairy farming intensification and new methods of evaluation of feed and feeding of cattle. After studying the subjects of the educational program " Cattle breeding, innovative technology of milk and beef production " undergraduates must:

- carry out independent calculations of technological parameters in cattle enterprises; • conduct bonitation of cattle, dairy cows selected for acquisition of the herd;
- determine the age and fatness of cattle

Prerequisites: methodology of experimental work, genetics with biometrics
Course Outline: The concept of the experiment. Different variants research organization. Methodological requirements for conducting experiments, and statistical analysis of experimental data. The organization of the evaluation of sires of dairy and beef breeds. Manufactures’ estimation according to the data of Zootechnical accounting. Rating animal origin. Evaluation by the quality of offspring. Evaluation of cattle productivity. Accounting in the process of evaluation Processing of digital content in the evaluation.

Prerequisites: Breeding and selection of agricultural animals, morphology, physiology of agricultural animals, animal nutrition, zoohygiene, cattle breeding, horse breeding, poultry farming.
Course Outline: Technology of milk and dairy products. Milk, as a polydisperse system. Biochemical changes in the milk during processing. Technology of production of drinking milk and dairy products, butter, cheese, etc. Determining the quality of carcass.

Prerequisites: Morphology and physiology of animals, genetics with biometrics, zoohygiene with the basics of designing livestock facilities, breeding and selection of farm animals
Course Outline: Techniques and methods of breeding. Technique of labeling. Drawing up the herd turnover. Organizing and conducting bonitirovki of cattle. Breeding techniques. Methods of selection. Choosing animals, selection of animals, large-scale breeding. Labeling techniques. Types of revolutions of the herd. Features of bonitirovki in dairy and beef cattle in different age and gender groups. Pure breeding and different types of cross-breeding: introductory, rotational, reproductive, industrial.

Prerequisites: Animals morphology, physiology of animals, farm animal feeding, breeding and selection of farm animals, zoohygiene with basics of designing livestock facilities.
Course Outline: Classification of breeds in the direction of efficiency: milk, combined, meat. Exterior, interior, and the constitution of cattle. The chemical composition of milk. Processes of milk formation and lactation. The duration of lactation, the dry and service periods. Type the lactation curve. Inventory and assessment of milk production of cows. The latest technique used in the procurement, preparation and distribution of feed. The organization of milking cows in the milk lines. Modern ventilation system of cow sheds.

Prerequisites: Feeding farm animals, morphology, physiology of agricultural animals cattle breeding, the technology of milk and beef production.
Course Outline: Methods of normalized feeding animals based on the research of animals needs in nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins, etc.). Chemical composition and nutritive value of forages. Features of digestion of ruminants and monogastric animals. Methods for determining the digestibility of the diet. Factors affecting the digestibility of forage in the diet. Nutrition as a composite unit of metabolism and energy. Methods of studying metabolism and energy. Methods of evaluating the nutritive value of feeds. Modern system of evaluation nutritive value of feeds.
