Specialty 6М080200- Animal Technology Production 

 

Specialty 6М080200- Technology of production of livestock products provides the following educational programs:

 

  • Cattle breeding, innovative technology of milk and beef production;
  • Horse breeding, Innovative еechnology in horse breeding;
  • Poultry farming, innovative technologies in poultry;
  • Sheep breeding, technology of production of sheep breeding products;
  • Pig farming, innovative technology in pig.

 

A graduate of the specialty 6М080200- Technology of production of livestock products is assigned an academic degree Master of Agricultural Sciences in  specialty 6М080200- Technology of production of livestock products

 

Qualification characteristics

 

The spheres of professional specialization are: various branches of agricultural production in livestock areas.

                                                                                    

The objects of professional activity of specialists are activities in higher, post-secondary, vocational and technical schools of agricultural and biological profile, research and management activities in the research and production facilities. Management activities in the apparatus of local, district, regional, republican structures, universities, colleges, high schools, research institutes, scientific and industrial, agricultural, nature conservation, design, expert, administrative agencies; processing industry, breeding stations, livestock and poultry farming, industry laboratories, departments, sections, sectors, departments, divisions at the local, regional and national governance structures, institutions of control and analytical services, centers of standardization and certification.

 

Objects of professional activity 

  • Theoretical and practical individual training in various sectors and areas of animal biotechnology, due to the needs of the state and the market, scientific and practical activities of the departments that train masters, and in teaching;
  • Training specialists with a high level of professional culture, including the culture of professional dialogue with civil position that can formulate and solve modern scientific and practical problems at the intersection of science, teach at universities, successfully carry out research and management activities in various biotechnology industries and organizations ;
  • Basic knowledge of animal science at the interface of biology, chemistry, physics, guaranteeing their professional mobility in real developing world; 
  • Skills of organization skills and conduction of research on livestock and biotechnology researches, obtaining the necessary groundwork for further research in doctoral studies; 
  • Development the ability to self-improvement and self-development, the needs and skills of independent creative obtaining new knowledge throughout their active life;  - - A minimum of knowledge in the field of higher education pedagogy and psychology and teaching experience at the university. Master of livestock products should be competent in all matters related to the latest technologies in livestock production and raw materials, plant breeding and biotechnology to animal breeding, food security of the country and get ecologically clean and competitive products.

 

The structure of the educational program

 

The structure of the educational program is determined by the standard curriculum, curriculum and catalog of elective courses.

                                                                       

BS Cycle (basic disciplines) - total 16 credits, the compulsory component - 8, the component of choice - 8. As a result of studying the disciplines of Cycle BS a student must acquire the necessary knowledge in the field of higher education pedagogy and psychology and teaching experience in higher education; while studying a foreign language a student should master the vocabulary of everyday, general academic and professional character, have the basic knowledge necessary for the study of professional disciplines.

Cycle PD (profile disciplines) - total 18 credits, compulsory component - 3, the component of choice - 15. As a result of studying disciplines of cycle PD an undergraduate must acquire knowledge and skills necessary for the implementation of all kinds of professional activities in the field of technology of production of livestock products.

Training in specialty includes professional practices.

Pedagogical practices - 3 credits. The purpose of the practice is the formation of practical skills and learning teaching methods. Pedagogical practices can be carried out during the period of theoretical training without breaking the training process.

Research Practice - 3 credits. The purpose of the practice is acquaintance and learning new methods of theoretical, methodological, and technological achievements of domestic and foreign science, conducting survey research on the theme of master's thesis, according to the approved program, and data processing.

The research work of a student includes the formulation of the master's thesis - 7 credits. The purpose is the acquisition of skills and organization of scientific research on livestock and biotechnology research, obtaining the necessary material for the master's thesis and creative skills of independent gaining new knowledge throughout the Masters Course.


Academic Calendar contains a calendar for the theoretical training, examinations, attestations, professional practices, days off (vacations and holidays).

 

Conversion of RK credits into ECTS credits within the educational program.
