The graduates of the specialty 6M020300-History are assigned an academic degree of Master of Arts on the specialty History-6M020300.
Qualification characteristics
The sphere of the professional activity of a Master on specialty 6M020300-history of the scientific and pedagogical direction is: teaching activities in the system of higher education, scientific research, management activities of foreign economic and foreign policy areas.
The objects of the professional activity of the graduates of Master’s Degree Courses are:
national, regional and district departments of public education, regional and district methodological centers, control and analytical services of the MES of the RK, national, regional and district organizations of culture, government, department (including a variety of private institutions) archives, historical museums, universities, research institutes, departmental research organizations.
The objects of professional activity:
- historical sources;
- National Library Fund;
- educational- methodological literature;
- special scientific research;
- modern regulations and documentation;
- methods of teaching history at educational institutions.
Master of Arts must be competent in the field of professional activities, educational -research and scientific-research work, methods of teaching historical disciplines, socio-humanitarian disciplines , higher education issues in the field of history.
The structure of the educational program
The structure of the educational program is determined by the standard curriculum, curriculum and the catalog of elective disciplines.
The direction of training - scientific and pedagogical:
Cycle BD (basic disciplines) - totals 16 credits, mandatory component - 8, component of choice -8. As a result of the study the subjects of BD cycle the student should know the basic sections of the methodology of social cognition, records management, administrative management , have the basic knowledge needed for the study of professional disciplines.
PD cycle (majors) – totals 18 credits, mandatory part - 2, components of choice - 16. At the end of the study the subjects of PD cycle the students must acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out all kinds of professional work in the field of higher and secondary special education. Majoring provides professional practices.
Educational Practice - 3 credits. The aim of the practice - formation of professional pedagogical skills and abilities, as well as the deepening and consolidation of theoretical knowledge, the mastery of the subject content, skills and abilities of the educational process in higher education. The place of practice: higher educational establishments of Kostanai region.
Research Practice - 3 credits. The aim of the practice - familiarization with the latest theoretical and methodological achievements of historical science, collection of archival materials and other sources for the thesis.
MSRW, including the implementation of the master's thesis - 7 credits .The objective is the writing of the thesis by collecting relevant literature and sources.
Academic Calendar contains a calendar for the theoretical training, examinations, certifications, professional practices, days off (vacations and holidays).
