The master of equipment and technologies in the specialty 6m071800-Electric power industry has to be competent on all questions of management working hours of electrical power systems in modern conditions; development and improvement of systems of power supply; design and operation of renewable sources of the electric power and high-voltage equipment; increases of technical and economic efficiency of power supply systems; electric discharge and beam-plasma technologies; cable production and design of cable lines; development, to research and design of electromechanical converters of energy, electric drives and control systems of electric drives.
Structure of an educational program
The structure of an educational program is defined by the standard training program, the curriculum and the catalog of elective disciplines.
The volume of a theoretical course in the 2nd year magistracy makes 34 credits. All disciplines of the working plan are united in two cycles: cycle of the basic disciplines (BD), cycle of the main subjects (MS): 16 – on basic disciplines, 18 – on the main subjects.
The cycle of basic disciplines is directed on formation at future expert of fundamental knowledge in the specialty 6m071800-Electric power industry.
In this cycle the undergraduate needs to gather 16 credits: 8 credits make OK and 8 credits of KV - the general elective disciplines.
The cycle of the main subjects defines the list of special knowledge, abilities, skills and competences in relation to the concrete sphere of professional activity. The undergraduate has to gather 16 credits from this cycle: The 6th credit makes OK, 10 credits – KB. In the specialty carrying out the practice is provided.
Student teaching - 3 credits. The purpose and problem of student teaching is the ensuring educational process allowing undergraduates in the course of training to seize necessary competences for future professional activity in the field of power industry at their operation, research and pedagogical activity. Practice places: laboratory audiences, technical faculty
Research practice - 3 credits. The purpose of research practice is fixing of the knowledge received at studying of special disciplines. Research practice is carried out in higher education institution or in the research organization of the corresponding profile. Practice places: the enterprises and the organizations according to objects of professional activity. Bases the practician are: Research farm in Zarechnoye LLP, Kazakh Research Institute of Mechanization and Agriculture Electrification LLP (КазНИИМЭСХ). COWI company, Lithuania, BGU Laboratory, Minsk, Scientific and technical park, Klaipeda.
Scientific Research Work of the undergraduate, including implementation of the master thesis – 7 credits. Scientific Research Work of the undergraduate purpose is the work over the main perspective of specialty on which the master dissertation, relevance, the maintenance of scientific novelty and the practical importance, the contents research (methodical, practical) sections on the basic protected provisions is defended.
Final result of research or experimental and research work of the undergraduate is the master thesis.
The academic calendar contains a calendar of carrying out theoretical training, examinations, certifications, professional the practice, days of rest (vacation and holidays).
