Scientific and technological activities

 

 

Studying subjects of these educational programs will provide knowledge for professionals working in the field of research and production activities associated with the machines and apparatus of processing and storage of agricultural products; warehousing; equipment for animal husbandry, agricultural machines, combines, tractors, cars.

 

 

 

 

After studying the subjects of the educational program "Scientific and technological activities," students must:

Know and understand:

  • technologies and means of mechanization and electrification in the agricultural sector; 
  • mechanisms and laws of the functioning of machinery and equipment; 
  • energy-saving technologies and equipment; 
  • modern methods of management and organization of work in agriculture; 
  • economic aspects of the production and processing of agricultural products; 
  • personal computers and software; 
  • Legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of agriculture.

Be able to:

  • use advanced knowledge in practice; 
  • use modern equipment in the work; 
  • organize and mobilize workers to perform functional responsibilities; 
  • work in a team and on projects; 
  • use efficiently  machinery, equipment, energy-saving technology to make rational proposals and elements of invention.

Modeling agroengineering systems– 3 credits

Prerequisites:  mathematics, physics, computer science, mechanical drawing.

Course Outline: general information about the design, mathematical modeling as a method of designing, computer aided design, features of the design of agricultural, particularly agroengineering processes.

Scientific and technical principles of machines improvement -3 credits

Prerequisites: mathematics, physics, theoretical and applied mechanics, agricultural machines.

Course Outline: stages of improvement and development of agricultural machinery, used in Kazakhstan, the criteria for evaluation of machine design and basic directions of further development of modern agricultural machinery.

Course Outline: program includes: general information about the design, mathematical modeling as a design method, the computational experiment and its planning and processing, computer-aided design, peculiarities of the design of agricultural facilities.

Energy systems in agriculture – 2 credits

Prerequisites:  mathematics, physics, electrical engineering

Course Outline: Energy Development Strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Systems of energy and electricity supply of agricultural production and living conditions of the population. Small-scale power systems. Power saving technology. Heat supply system of agricultural facilities. Computer-aided electric actuator and electric technological specifications of machines and production lines in the production, processing and storage of agricultural products. Mobile electrification systems in crop and livestock production. Systems of electronic equipment in agriculture. Electrical systems light, irradiation, heating and condensing units inr crop and livestock production. Operation of power equipment on farms.

Promising technologies and tools in plant growing - 3 credits

Prerequisites:  mathematics, physics, descriptive geometry, engineering graphics, materials of construction technology, theoretical and applied mechanics.

Course Outline:. The directions of the development of agricultural machines and units at present. Ways of improving design and operation of agricultural machinery for large and small farms. Machinery for farms and individual farmsteads. Agricultural machinery of  the best farms in the region and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Modern technologies and hardware in cattle breeding – 3 credits

Prerequisites:  mathematics, physics, descriptive geometry, engineering graphics, materials of construction technology, theoretical and applied mechanics.

Course Outline: a set of tools for the production of livestock products and the creation of semi-finished product for further processing and recycling. Modern machines and equipment for animal husbandry in Northern Kazakhstan. Features of the production of certain types of products and animal keeping. Farms and their economically sound technical equipping.

Prerequisites: mathematics, physics, theoretical and applied mechanics, agricultural machinery

Equipment and instruments for experimental studies. Preparation for pilot studies. Theories and methods of their application.
