Specialty 6D080200- Technology of production of livestock products

• Cattle breeding, innovative technologies of milk and beef production;
• Horse breeding, innovative technologies in horse breeding.

A graduate of the  specialty 6D120200- Technology of production of livestock products is assigned the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 6D120200- Technology of production of livestock products.

Qualification characteristics

The spheres of professional activity of this specialty are research institutions of various branches of agricultural production of animal husbandry.

The objects of professional activity of doctors are public authorities in the field of agriculture, institutions of higher and professional education, research institutes, scientific and industrial organizations.

• production of all kinds of farm animals;
• machinery and technological equipment of farms (complexes);
• livestock facilities, premises of all types;
• equipment of research laboratories;
• scientific research and experiments.

Doctor of Philosophy PhD in the specialty 6D120200- Technology of production of livestock products must be competent in organization of scientific research, search and exchange of scientific information, the basics of informatics and computing research, in psychological and pedagogical principles of teaching at the university on the basis of innovative educational technologies. 

The structure of the educational program

The structure of the educational program is determined by the model curriculum, curriculum and elective courses catalog.

Cycle BD (basic disciplines) - total 15 credits, a compulsory component - 3, a component of choice - 12. As a result of studying the disciplines of cycle BD doctoral students must receive a fundamental education in the field of technology of production of livestock products, have basic knowledge necessary for the study of professional disciplines.

Cycle PD (profile disciplines) - total 15 credits a component of choice - 15. As a result of studying the disciplines of PD doctoral students must acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for in-depth theoretical, practical and research activities in the field of technology of production of livestock products.
Carrying out professional practices 

Pedagogical practice - 3 credits. The aim of the practice is to study the latest theoretical and methodological achievements of pedagogical sciences, as well as secure the practical skills, the use of modern teaching methods, processing in the pedagogical work. Places of practice:  departments of higher education institutions; specialized departments of pedagogical profile.
Research practice - 3 credits. The aim of the practice is to study the latest theoretical, methodological and technological achievements of domestic and foreign science and consolidate practical skills, the use of modern methods of scientific research, processing and interpretation of experimental data in the thesis. Places of research practice are: laboratory research institutes, enterprises of processing facilities; foreign educational, research and other institutions.
