Specialty 5В020300-History
The specialty provides the following educational programs:
- History and ethno-confessional relations;
- Museology and Records Management.
The graduates of the specialty 5B020300-History are assigned the academic degree of Bachelor of Arts on the specialty 5B020300-history.
- Qualification characteristics
The sphere of the specialty professional activity is the area of education and science, cultural and educational sectors, public- management sector.
The objects of the professional activity of the graduates are: general and specialized schools, lyceums, colleges, gymnasiums, higher educational establishments, government organizations and mass media (research institutes, offices of pedagogical and historical teaching, publishing houses, akimats, libraries, archives, museums, training institutions, mass media.
Objects of professional activity are:
•historical sources;
• National Library fund;
• educational - methodological literature;
• special scientific research;
• modern regulations and documentation.
A Bachelor of Arts must be competent in the field of professional activities, educational research and research work, on the methods of teaching historical disciplines, socio-humanitarian disciplines, in higher education issues in the field of history.
- The structure of the educational program
The structure of the educational program is determined by the standard curriculum, curriculum and the catalog of elective disciplines .
Cycle GD. (general disciplines) - totals 33 credits, the mandatory component – 30 credits, the component of choice – 3 credits. At the end of the study the subjects of the cycle GD a student should know: the basics of Kazakhstan history, philosophy, ecology, and other socio-humanitarian disciplines, have a good command of the Kazakh, Russian , foreign languages, have computer skills as a means of management, work with software of general purpose, use the information obtained from the global computer networks.
Cycle BD (basic disciplines) – totals 64 credits, the mandatory component - 20, the component of choice - 44. At the end of the study the subjects of the cycle BD a student should know: the basics of Kazakhstan history, historiography, sources studies, the stages of development of the world history, have the basic knowledge needed for the study of the professional disciplines.
PD cycle (majors) - totals 32 credits, the mandatory component - 5, a component of choice - 27. At the end of the study the subjects of the cycle PD the students must acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out all kinds of professional work in the field of history.
Majoring provides professional practices.
Teaching practice - 6 credits.
- Archaeological and ethnographic practice - 4 credits. The aim of the practice is to form the scientific view of the students of the prehistoric period , the history of the ethnic groups on the territory of Kazakhstan based on archaeological sources, ethnographic materials .The practice sites: archaeological sites (settlements, burial grounds, etc.), towns and cities of Kostanai region.
- Archival practice - 2 credits. The aim of the practice: mastering the principles of the organization of office work in archival institutions on the basis of theoretical knowledge. The place of the practice: the state archives of Kostanai and Kostanai region.
-Educational practice - 6 credits. The aim of the practice - formation of professional pedagogical skills and abilities, as well as the deepening and consolidation of theoretical knowledge, the mastery of the subject contents, skills and abilities of the educational process and extracurricular activities at school.
Pre - diploma practice - 2 credits. The aim of the practice - preparation and writing of the thesis (project).
Аcademic calendar contains a calendar for the theoretical training, examinations, certifications, professional practices, days off (vacations and holidays).
