Classification of specialties
Kostanai State University carries a two-tier system of higher education on the basis of a license to conduct educational activities in the field of higher and postgraduate education.
The content of the educational programs provide theoretical training (study of the cycle of general studies, the cycle of basic disciplines, cycle majors), apprenticeship and postgraduate education in the field of implementation research. Each cycle consists of disciplines disciplines essential component and the component of choice. Disciplines component selection allow within the chosen specialization to form educational programs for targeted training for specific areas of professional activity of the person.

Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Technology trains doctors in 3 specialties.
Doctoral - professional educational program of post-graduate education aimed at the training of scientific and pedagogical staff with the statutory period of not less than 3 years, the award of degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the development of compulsory at least 36 credits of theoretical training, and at least 6 credits of practice and at least 28 credits of research work of doctoral student. Educational program for PhD (PhD) has a research and teaching focus and involves a fundamental educational, methodological and research training and in-depth study of the disciplines in the relevant areas of science for undergraduate and postgraduate education and scientific spheres.
