In order not to be behind other nations -
It is necessary to acquire knowledge, to be rich and strong.
In order to know - it is necessary to study,
In order to be rich - it is necessary to go in for craft,
In order to be strong - it is necessary to keep unity.

KSU students in Europe within ERASMUS+ programme

Every year our University helds a competition for participation in Academic Mobility on the basis of which students have an opportunity to study abroad for 1 or 2 academic semesters. The conditions to participate in the Academic Mobility program are to be the 2d-4th year student or a master student, to have a high level of academic progress and to speak a foreign language fluently. While taking part in the competition, we could not imagine what we would become the participants of the ERASMUS+ program funded by the European Union. Only later we learnt that A. Baitursynov Kostanay State University had signed an inter-institutional agreement with the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, within the framework of ERASMUS+.

We were lucky to spend 3 months in Ostrava (Czech Republic) as the students of the University of Ostrava. Ostrava University offers a wide range of humanitarian studies which for us, the students of the History and Law Faculty and the Humanities and Social sciences Faculty, was of a great significance. The professors of the English and American Studies department and of the Sociology department welcomed us friendly and organized an excellent learning process.

The Academic Mobility was organized very well by both the sending and the receiving universities. We want to mark out a high level of the ERASMUS+ program coordinators: Vitezslav Vilimek (University of Ostrava) and Asel Sarbasova (KSU). We are grateful to the ERASMUS+ program, to the University of Ostrava and to the Kostanay State University for a brilliant opportunity that enabled us to study in Europe.
