The programme of visiting scholars
Nine outstanding foreign scholars were invited to teach in A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University in 2012 for the period of more than two weeks.
The plan on involving foreign scholars into educational process of the university is developed annually. The key criteria for inviting foreign scientists to tech at the university are:
- scientific and academic experience of a scholar, his/her international work experience, publications in scientific journals, the recommendations of scientists in the relevant field of activity;
- compliance with the objectives of the priority areas development of A.Baitursynov Kostanay State University and its structural units.
New knowledge and teaching methods are transferred to the university. Inviting foreign scientists aims at internationalization of university study, stimulating the active implementation of the Bologna process, increasing the competitiveness of the university, creating a positive image of the university in society.
The Programme of Visiting scholars fosters collaboration between universities at academic and research levels.

In the 2012-2013 academic year invited six scholars from Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Poland and the UK came to teach and provide scientific consultations at A. Baitursynov Kostanay State University. The fields of research and academic interests included veterinary and animal husbandry technology, project management, agriculture and sustainable development of urban and rural areas, and international law.
The academic mobility of foreign professors was funded by the program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic Kazanstan.
Mario Giorgi
Professor, Department of Veterinary Sciences, University of Pisa, Italy
The Professor gave lectures and taught practical classes; provided research consultations with master and doctoral students on general pharmacology, work-shop for the academic staff of Veterinary Faculty, he also discussed some joint research ideas with the Innovative Research and Educational Center.
Mehmet Serhat Odabas

The professor delivered the course “”Methods of experimental course” to the master students of the Agrarian and Biological Faculty and gave research consultations.

The professor gave classes and research consultations for undergraduate, master and PhD students in the field of veterinary sanitation expertise of plants, animal products.
Josef Mosiej

The professor read the course “Sustainable development of rural and urban territories” for master students of agrarian and biologivcal faculty. He also provided some consultations in the field, presented the workshop for academic staff of the faculty.

Dr.Carlos Machado delivered the Project Management” course for master students of “Management”, “Computation systems and software”, “Geoecology and natural resources management“ He gave the workshop “How to write a project proposal?”.
Catherine MacKenzie

The Course “International Public Law” was delivered by the professor to the students of Law Faculty The Professor carried out the seminar to the academic staff of the faculty", and many of the master students were consulted on international aspects of their research.
Elizabeth Jenkins is a highly qualified teacher of English and works at A. Baitursynov Kostanay State University in accordance with the agreement with the regional office of "English Language Fellow Program" of the US Embassy.
