Currently Entomological Museum became a research and educational centre for the study of the insect fauna of Kostanai region and is the base for professionals engaged in entomology and plant protection.

Collection of materials are used by specialists of regional branches of the Republican State Resource Centre of phytosanitary diagnostics and forecasts, experts of scientific and industrial enterprises engaged in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables, young scientists who write scientific papers, sanitation workers of the city and the region, as well as for the provision of advice to the population of the city and region .
Museum is not a once created and solidified structure, but dynamic system that requires a lot of energy, constant attention and updates. Museum staff are true masters of their craft, annually they collect, identify, classify, and store the insects of our area, representing the scientific, economic and educational value, write research papers, participate in conferences.
