Creative material
The first design, "Saturnia" was prepared for the 20th anniversary of the Museum (2009). For it biologists designers used 332 copies of various insects from different groups, from different corners of the Earth.
This was followed by the design "Tulip" as a symbol of love of fluttering creatures. This idea is inspired by the image of tulip Schrenk depicted on the emblem of Kostanai region, the study of the insect fauna of which the museum staff employs.
White colour of black-veined white butterflies Aporia crataegi L. is used as a symbol of purity of thoughts and aspirations, perfectness of peace and understanding. The green colour is represented by three species of beetles (Cetonia aurata L., Lytta vesicatoria L., Agelastica alni L.) is a symbol of nature, health, love, life growth.
Even the wings of black-veined white butterflies of damaged copies were used as material for creative gift for International Women's Day.
The design "Insects around us", made up of native species allows us to understand that amazing things are near us, one has only to look closely.
