Student life
Competence is an integral part of any specialist; however, social graces have never been cancelled and such traits as being active, purposeful, polite, kind, optimistic and patriotic are the part of the programs taught at the faculty.
Such traits are brought up during an educational process as well as at various conferences, contests and extracurricular activities.
The main purposes of the student self-government are the following:
- To protect students’ rights and interests;
- To help students in solving educational, social and other problems;
- To support the conditions for the development of socially responsible youth who is willing to take part in solving contemporary issues of our society;
- To keep and maintain the traditions of democratic society;
- To cooperate with the university authorities in solving educational and scientific issues alongside with the maintenance of educational process, students’ household and entertainment.
The main objectives of the student self-government are the following:
- To assist in students’ civil ,social and professional self-fulfillment
- To elaborate the suggestions on improvement in the quality of educational process regarding students’ scientific and professional interests;
- To organize students’ social events, conferences, debates, exhibitions and meetings with graduates, etc.;
- To assist in educating the sense of patriotism and enhancing students’ social awareness; to develop students’ self-discipline;
- To use mass-media to report students’ life;
- To support inter-academic, interregional and international bonds.
Faculty student council suggests practical solutions on the developing their educational process; it also observes students’ academic progress, fulfillment and violation of educational decrees and orders and struggles with such cases as copying in the exams and corruption.
