Students and graduates’ participation in research is obligatory in training future specialists.

Tasks:

• develop students' research skills;
• activate students’ creativity;
• develop communication skills in long-term business contact with a supervisor and colleagues in research.

Various forms of students’ research at the faculty:

Course papers and graduation works within those basic research areas. Departments design themes for graduation papers, master's theses and keep updated annually. Students’ scientific works are submitted in accordance with the procedural instructions of KSU.

An in-depth study of specific scientific problems in specialized student research groups and work on students’ research papers. At all departments of the faculty there are student research groups which involve more than 120 students. 

The quality of students’ research can be proved by their achievements in competitions and conferences of regional and national level:

T. Tanibayev, 4th year student majoring 5B050500-Regional Studies, took 2nd place in the Republican contest of scientific works.

Zh. Baimukhamedova, 2 nd year student 5B050500-Regional Studies, took 1st place at the scientific student conference.

Students of the faculty take an active part in scientific conferences, different competitions. Every year the faculty organizes scientific and practical student conferences, the results of which are published in proceedings.

Students’ research is an effective means of improving the quality of training. The number of students in research is growing and the range of activities is expanding every year.
