In higher education in Kazakhstan department is the main educational and scientific structural division of higher educational institution engaged in educational, methodical, scientific, research work as well as training teaching staff and professional development.

There are 7 departments at the faculty: Department of Theory of Languages and Literature, Department of Journalism and Communicative Management, Department of Psychology and Pedagogics, Department of Foreign Philology, Department of Philosophy, Department of Foreign Languages and Department of Practical Linguistics.

Department of Theory of Languages and Literature, Department of Kazakhstan History, Department of Journalism and Communicative Management, Department of Psychology and Pedagogics, Department of Foreign Philology train specialists in 5 Bachelor’s programme and 5 Master’s programme major.

The departments are provided with highly qualified teaching staff including doctors, candidates and masters in different areas (history, philology, philosophy, pedagogics, psychology, political science)
