  More than 500 students, undergraduates and doctoral candidates, 115 of which owners of the state educational grant study at faculty.

  7 departments are a part of humanitarian and social faculty:

• theories of languages and literature,
• journalism and communication management,
• foreign philology,
• psychology and pedagogics,
• philosophies,
• practical linguistics,
• foreign languages.

The highly skilled faculty, including 4 doctors of science, 2 doctors of PhD, 28 candidates of science, 49 masters works at departments.

     Besides, involvement of foreign scientists practices:

- Vilimek Vitezslav (the University of Ostrava, the Czech Republic) gave lectures for students and undergraduates of the specialty Philology;

- Soldatova L.E., the doctor of psychological sciences, professor, the dean of faculty of psychology of the Southern Ural State University held a master class for students psychologists;

- Dzyaloshinsky I.M., the Doctor of Philology, professor of Higher School of Economics National Research University (department of media of faculty of media, communications and design), the vice-chairman of the Russian committee of the Program of UNESCO "Information for all", the corresponding member of the Eurasian Academy of television and radio held a seminar for future journalists.

         At departments modern laboratories function: linguistic research laboratory, a laboratoriiya of innovative educational technologies, laboratory of practical psychology, laboratory of modern media researches, educational the media studio equipped with all necessary stock.

          The Linguistic Research Laboratory (LRL) increases teoretiko-methodological the level and effectiveness of scientific research. For this purpose on the basis of LNIL the trainingscientific and scientific and methodical seminars are held. The laboratory consolidates efforts of linguists, doctoral candidates, undergraduates and students philologists in carrying out scientific researches on problems of linguistics and a lingvodidaktika, questions of the theory, a technique and didactics of the translation. One of problems of LNIL is expansion of scientific and educational communications as in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and abroad. Therefore for cooperation linguists and specialists in a technique of training in language from higher education institutions of Kazakhstan, the FSU and beyond are invited.

          The office of practical psychology is oriented to development of professional and applied qualities of the identity of students, their orientation to practical psychology that allows students to seize methods of psychodiagnostics, psychological consultation and correction, technologies of holding trainings. The office is equipped with the TV, DVD, the audio system, a marker board. In an office training classes, psychological consultations are held. The office of practical psychology is open also for practical psychologists who hold master classes with students in current problems. So, on the basis of an office exhibitions presentations of electronic bases of psychodiagnostic tests are held; meetings seminars with representatives of the Kazakhstan association of psychologists; The International professional psychotherapeutic League, trainings on problems of forming and saving of mental health; therapeutic trainings, master classes of psychological technologies, viewings training and documentaries with the subsequent comments of specialists and some other actions will be organized.

          Educational media the studio promotes receiving journalistic education, is the instrument of knowledge by students of technology of journalistic skill, acquisition

of skills of creation of journalistic materials. The studio is equipped with the modern film-making and erection facilities, the corresponding software allowing to carry out record, digital and non-linear editing video and audiomaterial. The basic functional purpose of media of studio – creation of conditions for acquisition by students, future journalists, initial skills of work with the video camera, conducting shooting, audio-and video-tape editing, assimilation of bases a body and radio journalism and direction. At the same time students try the forces in front of the camera as TV hosts. Occupations in specialized offices bring closer journalistic education to formats of professional activity, promote improvement of quality of media education and competitiveness of graduates of the university.

The academic mobility of students

          The academic mobility of students of humanitarian and social faculty is carried out within interuniversity contracts on cooperation, scholarship and international programs by means of realization of the following mechanisms:

– training in programs of student's exchange;

– passings of educational and research practice;

– the organizations of a summer semester in other organizations of formation of the republic.

          Students of 4 releasing departments of faculty effectively use resources of the academic mobility. From 2013 to 2019 more than 70 students and undergraduates studied on the academic mobility at the universities of the USA, Europe, the CIS countries.

         Besides, students find additional opportunities for improvement of language skills. So, the students of specialties "Foreign Philology", "Translation Business" who were more prepared on a foreign language annually participate in a competition which is organized by the German service of the academic exchange DAAD.kz and allocates grants for training at a summer language course in Germany. For example, in 2015 Tikhonyuk Natalya (the 3rd course "Translation Business") and Sapabek Aygerim (the 3rd course, "Foreign philology") studied at such courses. In July-August, 2017 at the university of. Yens Zhekebatyrova Aynur (the 3rd course, "Translation business") studied.

         In addition the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan annually holds a competition on receiving a grant in the international program of student's exchange Global UGRAD. In 2016-2017 academic year the student 3 courses of specialty "Translation Business" Zamaldinova Elmira was a successful finalist of this program. Within a year it studied at the University of the State of Wyoming (University of Wyoming, city of Laramie, Wyoming, USA).

        Also annually students of 1 course of specialty "Journalism" within implementation of the interuniversity contract undergo educational practice in the Southern Ural State University to Chelyabinsk (Russia). Students practice on YuUrGU-TV TV channel which broadcasts to all Chelyabinsk region. They test as reporters, leaders, operators and bring positive estimates and responses of the head of practice.

          Good point is also the fact that our university sets up close cooperation and with the leading higher education institutions of RK. Since 2016 students of faculty take active part in winter school of the Karaganda economic university of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The disciplines studied in this higher education institution are included in the Annex to the diploma.

Employment

          Many graduates effectively realize the opportunities in educational institutions, public institutions and in the international organizations.

          Graduates of specialty "Journalism" Aygul Mukhambetova is a correspondent of Channel One Eurasia, Mendybayev's Three-copecks piece is a correspondent of KTK TV channel, Vitaly Halevin is a correspondent of ITAR-TASS (Yekaterinburg), Diana Okremova is the director of the North Kazakhstan legal media center. Most of graduates adequately represent faculty in regional and regional media.

          Graduates of specialty "Philology: Kazakh" work in various government institutions. Oraz alila Nrzhan the head of department of educational work and socialization of the identity of a methodical office of preschool and secondary education in GU "Department of Education of Akimat of the Kostanay Region", Aytmagambetova Toty Abdybekovna Rukovoditel of KGU "Regional Center of Training in Languages of Akimat of the Kostanay District", Challahs  Гүлдерай the Chief specialist of Management of Domestic Policy of Akimat of the Kostanay Region Group.

          Graduates of specialties "Foreign Philology" and "Translation Business" skillfully using the knowledge and skills in foreign languages successfully work in various large companies and joint ventures. Vechteyn I. – the manager of export department in representative office of the German company Retkus Technologie GmbH, Kiribayeva A. – the head of the sector of training of department of management of human resources of national company KazMunaiGas, Mendybayeva C. – the manager-translator at representative office of the European Council in Astana, Bolbas A. – the head of department of work with corporate clients of LLC Legprom Development in Moscow, Zhaynazarov B. is a director of the company Kazakhmys of PLC-RK in Almaty, Beyfert A. – works at the Higher school of Wismar, Germany is the University of technology, business and design, Rakhmetov A. – the representative on human rights of the UN in NPO HCLU-TASZ in the capital of Hungary Budapest.
