Small domestic animals, especially cats and dogs, always had huge value in human life. Therefore the specialization in education of doctors-cynologists and felinologists, development of effective ways of diagnostics, prevention and therapy of cats and dogs’ diseases are rather important.

The practical and laboratory classes, classwork and office IWST are given in clinic; students under the leadership of teachers master the outpatient reception hours, clinical examination and therapeutic technics.

The student scientific groups realize its activityon the basis of clinic, which are engaged by the collecting and processing of practical material for writing of the course paper, thesis and scientific works, and also hold the scientific researches with the subsequent participation in scientific practical student's conferences and competitions within faculty, university and republic. The staff of clinic uses the modern devices in practice and educates students to the work on devices for establishing the diagnosis and holding of the scientific researches. The educational veterinary clinic gives the opportunity to master the educational material and study the technology of holding the various operations to the students of specialty 5B120100-Veterinary medicine.  

Annually from 640 to 800 animals with various diseases are registered on the outpatient reception hours of clinic, from which 80% are the noncontagious diseases. The most often the diseases demand surgical intervention, and also the disease of cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory and uric systems are met at the animals.

The carnivorous, bird and decorative animals are treated in clinic: turtles, polecats, parrots, owls, pigeons, canaries, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chinchillas. The operative treatment of bird salpingoperitonitis, mastopathy, caponization, reduction of the eyeball dislocations are developed and introduced, the effective medical programs at the knemidocoptes of shell parakeet are developed, coagulopathy, pancreatitis, diabetes, right and left ventricular heart failure of animal and many other noncontagious diseases taking into account with the modern views on the aetiopathogenesis diseases. The stimulation technique of biologically active points is actively used by the electrostimulator "Zoo-DENS" at the various diseases of animals.

Besides the advanced training courses and master classes for experts the veterinary clinics of Kostanay and Kostanay region are conducted on the basis of veterinary clinic.  On the basis of veterinary clinic the creation of functional diagnostics room, radiological room, clinical laboratory and hospital for sick animals are planned for further training of competitive experts in the market of veterinary services.
