There are 3 chairs in  structure of faculty: veterinary medicine, veterinary sanitation and production technology of livestock products.

One of prior activities of faculty of veterinary science and technology of animal husbandry is development of the academic mobility. At faculty according to programs of the academic mobility students of 3,4 courses annually go for training in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and  abroad. At faculty such direction of the academic mobility as the invitation of foreign scientists is widely practiced.

The faculty of veterinary science and technology of animal husbandry is regularly visited by known foreign scientists. For example, at the beginning of academic year faculty was visited by professor doctor of PhD Mario Georgie (Pisa, Italy) who gave lectures on pharmacology and professor, the doctor of PhD Bozhena Lozovitska (Poland) who gave lectures on food safety to bachelors, undergraduates and doctoral candidates.

One of forms of self-government of faculty is the board of trustees. The purpose of work of the board of trustees is to assist in the solution of actual problems of development of faculty of veterinary science and technology of animal husbandry and to form it as a center of training of highly qualified specialists in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex, capable to solve problems of fundamental and applied character on the level of up-to-date demands, expert and consulting activity, introduction of the latest information and pedagogical technologies, ensuring competitiveness in the domestic and international markets of educational and scientific and applied services.

The board of trustees helps faculty in the field of training, education of students, improvement of quality of educational and methodical work, improvement of interaction with agro-industrial complex and the enterprises of processing of livestock production, educational institutions and other organizations, the enterprises of all forms of ownership.

The board of trustees consists of heads of departments, the animal husbandry and veterinary science organizations.

All advanced students get the grant, the excellent students get  nominal grants of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a grant of the academician K. I. Scriabin.

Children's dreams dissipated when I understood that to love animals it not to pat and feed them, but to treat and rescue mankind. At present time I can tell with full confidence that the profession of the veterinarian is considered rare, however honorable and demanded. I am not sorry about the choice, and I am glad to study at Kostanay State University”.	Rakhmetullina Aizhan, an owner of “Altyn begi”, the student of the 2 course of biotechnology specialty: "After getting the diploma in biotechnology, I will be able to carry out the purposes which are connected with improvement of agriculture and directly economy of Kazakhstan. At veterinary faculty I gain not only good theoretical knowledge and practical skills, but also I develop the my creative abilities".

At A.Baitursynov KSU the educational and scientific production laboratory «Veterinary Clinic of Kostanay State University»  functions  providing clinical practice of students of veterinary specialties and giving the chance to give evident practical classes in separate disciplines which helps students    to acquire the  theoretical material.

The faculty has necessary classroom fund, there is an innovative scientific and educational center, computer classes with Internet access, specialized audiences with multimedia  equipment, the parasitological and anatomic museum, a vivarium to keep the animals. All this equipment allows to give classes at high professional level. Classroom classes at faculty are given by leading professors, associate professors and teachers.
