Student's self-government
Student's self-government – initiative, independent and responsible activities of students for the solution of the vital questions for the organization of training, a life, leisure. Student's self-government is an element of the general control system of teaching and educational process at faculty and assumes the maximum accounting of interests, needs of students on the basis of studying of their public opinion.
Main objectives of student's self-government are:
- protection and representation of the rights and interests of students;
- assistance to students in the solution of the educational, social and other questions infringing on their interests;
- creation of conditions for development of feeling of social responsibility of youth, participation in the solution of actual problems of society;
- preservation and development of democratic traditions of students;
- assistance to governing bodies in the solution of educational and scientific tasks, in the organization of educational and educational process, and also leisure and life of students
The main objectives of student's self-government are:
• formation at students of the responsible and creative relation to study, public work;
• assistance of civil, social and professional self-realization of students;
• development of offers on improvement of quality of educational process taking into account scientific and professional interests of students;
• organization of student's public actions, student's conferences, round tables, class reunions, etc.;
• carrying out the work directed on education of patriotic spirit, increase of consciousness of students and their insistence to level of the knowledge, education of careful attitude to the state property, etc.
Student's self-government – one of ways of preparation of active citizens to life in legal and democratic society therefore the developed student's self-government at faculty has the huge public value helping formation of the personality.
