Contributing to the big plans for the implementation of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s strategy of joining the 30 most competitive countries in the world, Kostanay State University’s important direction is the provision of educational services for the training of specialists with higher and postgraduate education, doing research and development at the level of world standards.

KSU provides training across the spectrum of classical university specialties of social and humanitarian, natural science, legal, economic, technical and agricultural areas.

A significant role in the implementation of these tasks is assigned to university faculties and departments. 7 faculties of the university enroll approximately 6,000 students and postgraduates in 58 specialties. Credit technology education gives students and faculty mobility and academic freedom, allows showing all their abilities and receiving a quality education. There are 520 qualified teachers at 30 departments, 51% of which have academic degrees and titles. Development of the university is characterized by the growth of its human resources, expansion of scientific interests of the teaching staff as well as the active involvement of students and postgraduates in research. Every year an increasing range of scientists is involved in various regional or international grants.
